My Story

Gabriela Rachidi (formerly Bohacova) is a music and art enthusias and the executive director of the International Music Festival Český Krumlov. In 2014, she founded the music agency ArtMuse, based in Prague and UK, and later co-founded the association Domingo-Mozart-Prague, which organized the prestigious opera competition Operalia, as well as productions of Don Giovanni and Mozart's birthday concert, featuring the world-renowned opera singer and conductor Plácido Domingo.

Previously, she collaborated with José Carreras and The Tenors and worked at the London office of the globally renowned talent agency United Talent Agency (UTA).

Gabriela has been part of a TV show for young classical music talents Virtuosos for several years, which is regularly broadcast in five European countries. For four years, she served as a jury member alongside prominent figures from the music industry, such as opera legend Plácido Domingo, cellist Hauser, singer Dimash, producer Harvey Goldsmith, violinist Maxim Vengerov, and composer Gabriel Prokofiev. This year, she took on a new role as one of the show's hosts.

Passion and Upbringing

Apart from her work in management and directing, Gabriela has extensive experience in singing and performing.

Her passion and love for music and art stem from her rich musical family heritage, spanning three generations of accomplished musicians. She is the daughter of Marta Špelinová, a principal violist, and Jaromír Boháč, a composer and music manager.

She was also deeply influenced by her grandparents, particularly her grandmother, the renowned coloratura soprano Marta Boháčová, who was also Gabriela's vocal coach. Additionally, her grandfathers played a significant role in shaping her artistic path—Josef Boháč, a respected composer, and Karel Špelina, a music professor and principal violist of the Czech Philharmonic.

Gabriela Directing

Directing

Gabriela trained in opera directing at the Welsh National Opera where she worked as an Assistant Director to the renowned director Sir David Pountney in Rossini productions.

She continues to work with youth opera companies across the UK, having assisted in productions of L'elisir d'amore and La Bohème. More recently, she has shifted her focus to directing music videos and short documentaries.

To mention few:
